Never had the desire to join before, but what I heard on news is wrong and pathetic, not to mention pretty darn scarey. Am thinking of all the Chapmans and wish them the best.

Here is the story posted on MSN.com Duane 'Dog' Chapman Arrested in Hawaii Sep 14, 4:06 PM EST The Associated Press HONOLULU -- TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman and two co-stars on his show were arrested Thursday in Hawaii on charges of illegal detention and conspiracy in an alleged kidnapping three years ago. Chapman, son Leland Chapman and associate Timothy Chapman were taken into custody and did not resist arrest, said Mark Hanohano, U.S. Marshal for the district of Hawaii. "It went down without incident," Hanohano said. Mona K. Wood, a publicist for the star of the popular cable series "Dog The Bounty Hunter," said Chapman would be vindicated. "He arrests the bad guys — and he is definitely not one of them," she said. Video: "Dog the Bounty Hunter" arrested The charges stem from Chapman's capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster on June 18, 2003, in Puerto Villarta, Mexico, said Marshals spokeswoman Nikki Credic in Washington. Chapman's capture of Luster, who had fled the country after being convicted of raping three women, catapulted the 53-year-old bounty hunter to fame and led to the reality series on A&E. The three are being held in Honolulu. Bail has not been set. They will face an extradition hearing to Mexico under terms of treaties between the U.S. and Mexico, Credic said. Chapman's son Leland, 29, and Timothy Chapman, 41, no relation, assist Chapman in exploits chronicled for the TV show around the Hawaiian Islands. The show focuses on Chapman's family as much as the bounty hunting, which generally involves tracking down bail jumpers, often creating emotional scenes with repentant captives. Charges have been pending against the three since local police in Mexico arrested them shortly after they roped in Luster. They posted bail but never returned to Puerto Villarta for their court hearing on July 15, 2003, Credic said. Mexican authorities demanded that the Chapmans transfer Luster to Mexican police. Their refusal to do so led to their initial arrest. A U.S. warrant for their arrest was signed by a federal judge in Honolulu on Wednesday

Ok Guys I just got a response from one of Dog's PR people and this what she had to say:
Aloha, Damon..and mahalo for your prayers and support. It’s been a tough day, but Dog knows he did the right thing bringing Andrew Luster to justice.Duane, Beth and the Chapman ‘ohana wish to thank all of their many fans for their support during this difficult time. The e-mails have been pouring in, and we are extremely grateful for your love, prayers, and offering of support...more than we can express in words. We would like to rally supporters in Honolulu to show up at the Federal Courthouse tomorrow, September 15th, at 3:00 p.m. Duane’s bail hearing is at 3:00 p.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren. If you are not here, we humbly ask for your support through calls/e-mails of support for Duane to your local media and congressman and women. Duane captured a rapist who terrorized women and was about to do the same thing in Mexico. He never received the bounty for his capture of Luster, but he is proud of his accomplishments. Luster’s victims said Chapman gave them their lives back – and there would have been many more future victims had Duane not put an end to it all.Again, many thanks for your support! Please pass this on and let’s send a message out there that doing the right thing should not be punished, but rewarded!
Aloha & mahalo, mona IKAIKA Communications...a powerful little pr company. Mona K. Wood P.O. Box 61448 Honolulu, HI 96839-1448

What kind of world are we living in anyway? We let Mexico tell us what to do? We have no way to get fugitives that are in Mexico back to the US because they will not extradite them back to us. I say tit for tat. If the Mexican Government would have captured that FREAK Luster, Dog would not have had to be there in the first place. Why not send Dog and the crew to find Osama? God knows HE would get him, and without having a bunch of our boys killed over there in the process. Sometimes, the back door is the only way in....the US has used covert ops, mercenaries and the like to do what they could not....If Dog and the crew had to do the same thing to put a rapist behind bars then so be it. As far as I'm concerned, this place needs MORE people like DOG and the crew.....way to go Uncle Sam....way to show the scum of the earth a nice place to hide is Mexico. It's election year, fellas.....and we don't forget when a wrong like this is done to one of our own. When you start missing those votes, maybe you'll wake up and smell the coffee

I want to help....how can I show support. I live in the States, I'll write, I'll e-mail, I'll call if I need to, just tell me who. This is terrible, terrible, terrible! As a country we need more people out there like Dog and his crew. I can't imagine them sending them back to Mexico for this bull****! What about the victims of Andrew Luster's crime, they deserved justice. This just makes me SICK! God Bless the Dog and his family!!!!

Mexico harbors criminals and won't extradite them to the U.S, but they tell us to give them Dog and just like that, they turn him over? This is disgusting. Why, after three years, did Mexico suddenly decide to come after him? The even better question is, why are we allowing it.

I am from Colorado, and I couldn't be more proud of a Colorado Native. Dog has done so many great things and for this to be allowed to happen is a disgrace to our country. I cannot believe we are willing to back Mexico on this type of crap, yet our borders and states are subjected to mexican criminals everyday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dog and his family during this difficult time, we support them all the way!!

Dog you da man and all of us here are with you in our prayers and hearts! You can't keep the DOG down, hes a fighter and will snap right back from this. I am still very upset at these results. I mean come on 3 years later! In that 3 years time Dog and his crew have brought more badguys to justice then any of us out here can even speak of. This is NOT the way to handle this and I am saddened for his Wife and kids. Out of all the criminals in this god-forsaken world why does he need to be made the target. If anything we owe him, not the other way around! Mahalo to all the crew!
